Pants- Boyfriend jeans are definitely big this year, so are distressed jeans. Sort of the worn-in look. Skinny jeans are also still really popular, but this year dark wash is definitely more popular for just plain skinny jeans.

Personally, I like ripped jeans, they’re really comfy and add an edge to any outfit, but i’m loving super skinny jeans for times when ripped jeans aren’t appropriate.
SKIRTS- Big full patterned skirts are really popular right now, because they add a really fun twist to any outfit, and you can pair them with so many different clothes. Also, the short black waist-high bandage skirts made of polyester blend are really popular with young people. Jean skirts are appearing less frequently, so I’d buy a black bandage skirt, a full black skirt, and a full patterned skirt.

HANDBAGS- Shoulder bags are definitely the most popular bags this year. Messenger bags, purses with fringe, brightly patterned cloth and leather are big trends, and detailing like studs, straps or buckles are very popular.

I have an over-sized leather cross-body, a studded leather shoulder bag, and a striped cloth shoulder bag.
MAKEUP/HAIR- Braided bangs are very popular this year, and so are messy layers. Messy up-do’s, messy curls, messy waves, beach hair, it’s all au-naturelle! Bright eye-liner is becoming more and more popular, work this bold trend by wearing a thin line of bright liquid eye-liner on your top lash-line. It’ll lightly show through your lashes and give you a fresh pop of color. The classic smoky eye is always pretty, but spice it up by using a glittery eye-shadow in either your crease or the main part of your lid.

TOPS- Loose shirts are more popular than tight ones this year. You’ll see lots of tunics, cardigans, loose v-necks and men’s inspired clothing (blazers, oxfords, etc.) Very girly pieces are also very big this year, lots of frills, layering, lace and pinks. I would recommend you buy a loose white v-neck to wear with everything and still look stylish, a boyfriend oxford, a bold tunic, a patterned cardigan, a loose solid color cardigan and a detailed shirt like with layers, or studs or something interesting to look at.

I’d post dresses, but I feel like those are really personal, and you should never wear a dress just because it’s “In”. They just seem like the one item you really have to put your personality into for me.
