What field of study / skills should one pursue given that our government wants to destroy the middle class?
We import all manufactured goods FROM China. We have Exported all means to manufacture TO China. All unskilled labor that we can’t easily export to china, we import from Mexico ,we Import computer programs from India. Everything else that we have patents on, China pirates and copies (Nikes, Handbags, Watches, DVDs, CDs, Microsoft software, books, etc).
SO not only is china stealing our jobs, they are stealing our companies livelihoods too by violating patents and copyrights.
I guess no one cares that we will all be poor, cold, and sad very soon.
You make a good case. I was with a company that moved its manufacturing, then engineering to Singapore and Malyasia. Then other aspects were moved to China. I sense a backlash developing in our country, but you will continue to see off-shoring. The company I worked for sent stuff to China, et al, but not because of labor costs. There were other huge advantages – no EEO, no OSHA and other artificial government imposed impediments. I’d recommend the medical profession in the near term, but the USA will probably have nationalized medicine when Mrs. Clinton wins.
